BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government has decided not to allow activities at Bangalore Palace that do not comply with the conditions stipulated in the Bangalore Palace Acquisition Act, and the conditions and other norms pointed out in the interim order of the Supreme Court in that context.

In a press release issued here on Monday, the Government said that its decision was an effort to implement the Supreme Court's orders issued on April 30, 1997, and the related interim orders issued on September 14,1998, and January 25, 2001, effectively.

In compliance with the court's orders and observations, no construction, including semi-permanent structures, activity would be allowed on the palace premises, the release said.

How paradoxical !Just the other day, Congress/ AIPJD meger caused such havoc at Bangalore Palace Grounds and the comound wall was broken at many places to make it easy for the traffic smoother. Was it in accordance with the objectives of Bangalore Palace Act ? The state itslef conducts with much fanfare IT and BT exhibitions on the very precincts of the Banglore Palace. Very recently TOI conducted Bangalore Refresh Program in front of the Palace which was attended by CM himslef. Politicians like MP Prakash, Roshan Baig, Krishna Byre Gowda's kin had their weddings.

Then what is this joke ?
