Utter chaos prevailed on Richmond Road, Richmond Road Flyover, St Mark’s Road and surrounding roads following a traffic jam for more than an hour on Wednesday evening.

Two ambulance with “sirens on” were stuck in a jam on the Richmond Road flyover for nearly 25 minutes. The traffic on the flyover had come to halt at 7.30 pm. According to a senior police officer the jam was caused due to vehicles parked in front of Bishop Cotton School for the Sonu Nigam concert. Parents who had parked their vehicles were found arguing with the traffic policemen, when they were asked to move their vehicles. Police had a tough time, the officer said.

Siraj Pasha a businessman who was stuck in the jam for 45 minutes called up this newspaper and said, “Traffic in the City was thrown out of track just for the whims of few rich influential brats.”

Satish an event manager said, the traffic never moved for quite some time on the flyover.
