The flyover being built at a cost of Rs 27.6 crore was scheduled to be completed on November 14, 2005. BDA Commissioner Vidyashankar attributed the delay to the truckers’ strike and heavy rains. The work comprises of a main flyover from Khoday’s circle along Sheshadri road for a total of 646 mts with a 14 meters width unidirectional carriageway and a loop towards Race Course for a length of 258 meters with a unidirectional 7.5 meters wide carriageway. The flyover comprises of 5 lane undivided one way flyover up to Ananda Rao Circle with a 2 lane one way down ramp towards Basaveshwara Circle and 4 lane one way flyover along Sheshadri Road crossing Ananda Rao Circle and Subbanna Circle.
