Shortage of forms continues to dog SAS

Shortage of forms continues to dog SAS
TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Bangalore: Confusion prevailed in many BBMP property tax payment centres on Friday due to shortage of application forms and booklets. Many citizens returned without paying tax. The BBMP’s collection from tax payments, however, touched Rs 8 crore on Friday.
Taxpayers complained that the special centres were short staffed and unable to provide right answers to their queries, and that the application forms are in English. The BBMP’s failure to come out with booklets detailing guidelines has resulted in this chaos. But it has assured that it will release the SAS guide book by Monday with Kannada application forms.
BBMP SAYS
We are getting a very good response. We are bringing out a booklet in Kannada and English containing all the details and FAQs. We will start dispatching them to all the centres from Monday. Chandrashekar, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER, REVENUE
SOME COMMON COMPLAINTS
They say you have to pay extra if you have parking facility. There is a lot of difference compared to last year. As areas are divided and zones have changed, we are confused about where we should pay tax. - S Nagaraj
I am 73 years old. This is my third visit to the special centre but I have not been able to pay tax. If I ask for the booklet with guidelines they tell me to come next week.

The application form is in English. I cannot read English. How can I fill it up? They can depute someone to translate and explain it to people like me.
