Bangalore: Come July 1, the South Western Railway will be effecting some major changes in train schedules, stoppages and some routes.
Increase in frequency: The frequency of Train Nos 2510/2509 Guwahati - Bangalore City-Guwahati bi-weekly Express will be increased to tri-weekly from July 3.
Train 2510 Guwahati-Bangalore Express will run from Guwahati on Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays. Train 2509 Bangalore-Guwahati Express will run from Bangalore on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.
Change in days of service: Train No 6527 Yeshwantpur-Cannanore Express will leave Yeshwantpur on Saturdays instead of Fridays from July 1. In the return direction, Train No 6528 will leave Cannanore on Sundays as per existing schedule.
Temporary stoppage of trains made permanent: The temporary stoppage of two minutes provided for the following trains at the stations will be made permanent from July 1.
Diversion: Train No 2649 Yeshwantpur-Nizamuddin Sampark Kranthi Express that leaves Yeshwantpur on Tuesdays and Thursdays and arrive at Nizamuddin on Thursdays and Saturdays will be diverted to run via Arsikere, Hubli and Miraj from July 4. Train 2649 that leaves Yeshwantpur on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays will run via Secunderabad and Nagpur.
On the return journey, Train 2650 Nizamuddin-Yeshwantpur Sampark Kranthi Express that leaves Nizamuddin on Wednesday and Fridays will be diverted to run via Arsikere, Hubli and Miraj from July 5. Train 2650 that leaves Nizamuddin on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays will run via Nagpur and Secunderabad.
Train No 6217/6218 Mysore-Nizamuddin-Mysore Swarna Jayanthi Express will run via Hassan and Arsikere instead of Bangalore city from July 7 from Mysore and July 10 from Nizamuddin.
Change in stations: Train No 1017/1018 Dadar-Bangalore City-Dadar Express will be terminating/originating at Yeshwantpur instead of Bangalore city from July 1 from Dadar and July 3 from Yeshwantpur.
Train 1017 Dadar-Yeshwantpur Chalukya Express will leave Dadar at 9.30 pm and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 8.55 pm the following day.
In the return journey, Train 1018 Yeshwantpur-Dadar Express will leave Yeshwantpur at 7.20 am and arrive at Dadar at 7.20 am the following day.
The train will run via Kalyan, Pune, Satara, Takari, Sangli, Miraj, Kudachi, Belgaum, Londa, Alnawar, Dharwad, Hubli, Harihar, Davangere, Birur.
