Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Friday reiterated that his government was determined to end Bangalore’s infrastructure woes.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Software Technology Parks of India - Bangalore’s Cyber Park at Electronics City here, he said that the Chief Secretary was looking into all projects related to infrastructure and that a solution was near. Thanking the IT fraternity for having chosen Bangalore, despite infrastructure posing a big hurdle, he said, “In the past year, four Fortune 500 companies and over 10 companies with a turnover of over $1 billion chose Bangalore for their operations.”

Logistics

The CM also urged software companies to look at Tier II and Tier III cities, in particular Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore and Mysore, for future expansion, adding that the State would improve air connectivity and logistics for these cities and said that SEZs would also be created in these cities. He also announced that a venture fund with a higher outlay would be set up to provide venture capital to IT and BT industries.
