PIL seeks restrictions on programmes at Bangalore Palace Grounds
DH News Service,Bangalore:
residential associations seeking to prevent public functions at the Palace grounds in the City.
The High Court has ordered notice to the members of the Mysore royal family following a petition by various
Sadashivanagar Residents Welfare Association, RMV Extension Association and ten others in a PIL before the High Court have sought to restrict public functions including rallies, music programmes, consumer fairs and other functions at the Palace Grounds, unless the programmes comply with Noise Pollution Regulation Rules.
The division bench headed by Justice P D Dinakaran ordered notice to Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar and other members of royal family, apart from the Chief Secretary, Commissioner of Police, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
