BBMP’s permission is must for construction of buildings belonging to either State or Union government, said the Palike.
The Palike will take legal action against the builders if necessary approval for the building is not taken.
In a circular issued to all joint commissioners, Palike Commissioner Dr S Subramanya has said that the government departments should take licence from the Palike under the provisions of Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act 1976 and the construction should abide by the building bye-laws.
He also directed to stop the construction works by issuing notice if buildings are being constructed violating the rules.Palike approval must for govt building works
