BMIC finishes link road construction


The promoters of Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project, Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), have completed construction of the link road, peripheral road and portion of expressway, barring a few patches where land has not been made available by the government.
The bottlenecks identified by the promoters for completion of link road and peripheral road include:
Link Road: 9.1 km from SH 17 (Kavika and linking the expressway): At 0 to 0.6 km linking expressway and Mysore Road near Byatarayanapura and Divitigeramanahalli village.
At 1.4 km, the BBMP is yet to communicate approval for diversion road at the ring road and integrating the bridge and the ramps across Outer Ring Road (ORR), which is pending for the past year and a half. Between 2.6 km to 2.9 km near Hosakerehalli. At 5.4 km, where an alignment in BWSSB water pipeline has to be shifted, for which NICE has paid Rs 77 lakh. Between 7.8 km and 8.3 km near Hemmigepura village required for formation of link road.
