Hosur Road fine!

Hosur Road fine!
Bangalore, DHNS:
Hosur Road - which was battered by last weeks flooding, slowly returned to normal on Monday.
However, scores of employees who returned to work were yet to recover from the weekend festival hangover.
Though the water had receded, traffic movement was affected from the Central Silk Board junction up to Electronic City due to the morning rush-hour traffic.
Authorities have done a good job despite the limitations, said Dr Devi Shetty of Narayana Hrudayalaya.
He said, “Hosur Road is always in the limelight. BBMP has done a good job. Movement of traffic is affected due to construction of the elevated highway. Once the elevated road is complete, it will reduce traffic congestion. Another possible solution lies in developing village roads leading to Hosur Road and widen them.”
Gururaj A, an employee of an automobile showroom, says the flooding also affected the delivery of vehicles.
Official version
Venkataramana Naik, Dy Commissioner, BBMP: “The water-logging on Hosur Road near Central Silk Board was due to encroachments. We found an apartment built by Ansal Builders near the Silk Board flyover had encroached upon a storm-water drain, choking flow of rainwater. Drive against illegal structures at Puttenahalli would be completed on Tuesday.”
