The Times of India

Bangalore: The big two from the Reliance group — Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited and Anil Ambani’s Reliance-Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group — are competing with each other along with another mega group DLF, for the Bidadi township. Tenders have been invited for the project by the Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA).
According to officials, 120 companies, including that of Ambani brothers have participated in the tender process.
BMRDA proposes to develop five new integrated townships with modern amenities at Bidadi, Ramanagaram, Sathanur, Solur and Bidadi integrated township project. They are self contained townships with work-live-play concept by integrating select economic activities.
The project site is 39 km away from Bangalore and 4 km from Bidadi Town, off the Bangalore-Mysore state Highway.
