Congress workers had gathered in front of the Karmataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office to welcome Siddaramaiah.

Hundreds of cars were haphazardly parked all along the road, choking it for nearly an hour fr-om 3.15 pm. While there was none to discipline the crowd from the party, traffic policemen were mute spectators.
