AFTER wielding the whip on officials of various departments, Chief Minister H D K umaraswamy is all set to give push for the works to improve Bangalorean’s infrastructure.

K umaraswamy would hold the second round of talks with the heads of Bangalore City Corporation (BCC), Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), Bangalore W ater Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), Bangalore Metropolitan and Rural Development Authority (BMRDA) and Bangalore Mass Rapid T ransport Corporation Limited (BMR TL) to take note of the various infrastructure projects underway and upcoming initiatives, on M onday .

At a meeting convened on Saturday with bureaucrats and top police brass, K umaraswamy set a fresh deadline of two months to give a facelift to the City .

Kumaraswamy has already declared his intention to complete all the ongoing works of roads, flyo vers and other utilities within the next two months. H e is expected to set a deadline for completing these works with a warning of stringent action against officials who fail to accomplish them.

Though no particular agenda has been drawn, we are ready with all the details to be furnished to the Chief Minister , chief of a civic authority told B BV VT T. .

lT otal asphalting of 350 kms of roads

lAsphalting of 1,000 kms of road taken up at a cost of Rs 110 crore under Ist package

lAsphalting of roads at a cost of Rs 167 crore under IInd package

lPothole filling

lStrengthening of storm water drains

lOngoing flyover projects

lRoad repair work under IT&BT corridor project

lRoad laying work under KMRP package 1
