In a bid to decongest Kempegowda Bus Station, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will shift a chunk of its operations on the Bangalore-Mysore Road to the Satellite Bus Station on Mysore Road, starting Sunday.

According to an official press note issued on Saturday, the KSRTC will shift 100 services out of its total 500 bus services in operation on its Bangalore-Mysore str-etch. A reduction of Rs 5 from the total fare will also be given to passengers who board and buy tickets from the Satellite bus station.

The BMTC has also pitched in by providing connectivity between the new bus station and Kempegowda Bus Station. Bus services connecting places including KBS, Koramangala, Shivajinagar, Marthahalli, Chikkabanawara, Yelahanka and Chandapura to the new satellite bus station have been introduced for passengers residing in these areas.
