Murthy cannot threaten the government this way. He has not been given any special contract to run the state. He was the BIAL chairman for five years, but did nothing to push the project forward. There is nothing wrong in my father questioning his contribution. More than being interested in the airport project, Murthy has been working towards destablising the Dharam Singh-led coalition government. His resignation should not be a disappointment, Karnataka has several intellectuals and talented persons in various fields. I request the government to give such talented people an opportunity to prove their leadership skills.’’
