Infrastructure outcry: day 3

Karnataka asks Karnataka Land Army Corporation (KLAC) to draw up the estimation for the road upgradation project. The government will take up work on six roads on priority basis.

Priority 1 roads: Airport Road, JB Nagar Road, Indiranagar 12th Main, Brigade Road junction to Trinity Circle junction, Ulsoor Road, and Koramangala 20th main road will commence from Wednesday if the finance department gives its clearance.

R K Mishra, a member of the state government’s empowered committee, says: the estimation for another eight roads categorised as ‘priority 2’ is expected to be completed by Wednesday.

What will Bangalore get in the next one year:

Upgradation of 19 major roads connecting three corridors.
Shortening of the 18 km stretch connecting Magadi Road and Mysore Road on the Outer Ring Road to 5 km at a cost of Rs 49.6 crore.
Completion of the work on Anand Rao circle flyover by November.
Construction of underpasses at Maharani College circle and Ramamurthy Nagar.
