BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has given a ten-day ultimatum for cable operators to remove unauthorised cables laid on the outer ring road.

In an official release, the BDA stated that it had constructed the outer ring-road at huge costs around the city to ensure hassle-free and unobstructed safe driving and had even erected electric poles on either side of the road for street lights.

But some cable TV agencies have laid cables across the ring-roads and on the electric poles which are unauthorised and thereby caused hindrance to the smooth flow of traffic.

BDA has also warned them of serious action if they fail to remove the cables within ten days.
