BANGALORE: With vehicle numbers multiplying on Bangalore roads each day, finding a parking space, especially in crowded places is next to impossible and if some outlet offers you a valet parking, then nothing like it. But, for this customer, the offer of valet parking proved costly.

On September 28, Harshit approached Show Off stores on Brigade Road for a job. As the company had vacancy for drivers who could park the vehicles in the parking area, he was immediately asked to join duty from 5 pm the same day.

One of his initial customers, Swaroop, gave his car keys to Harshit for parking.

After a while, Swaroop realised that he had forgotten his wallet in the car and rushed towards his car. To his shock, he found his cash of Rs 20,000 missing from the car. When he approached the security officer and enquired about Harshit, the officer said that immediately after parking Swaroop's car, Harshit quit the job saying that he is not too happy with the work.

Outlet officials lodged a complaint at Ashoknagar police station. The store manager Shah Roopesh had just the contact number of Harshit and so could not take immediate action.

However, with the help of the service providers, they have traced Harshit's address.

Ashoknagar police are investigating the case.
