These roads cause a rage in the city
By S Lalitha, DH News Service, Bangalore:
L B Shastri Nagar probably has the worst roads in the City. The stark contrast between the beautiful apartments here and the terrible conditions prevailing outside the moment one steps out of the gate is quite startling.
The numerous potholes, uneven road surfaces and absence of asphalting in most of the roads makes one riding a vehicle feel as if on a horse back. The problem begins right at the entrance at the road, informally referred to as HAL Road. Three big potholes are present within a distance of seven feet here. Jayaram, an employee at HAL expressed helplessness over the issue. “We cannot avoid using this stretch. All we are conscious about on the road is to ride really carefully.”
The Rajiv Gandhi Road, located at the 2nd Cross, First Main Road astounds one as to how people dare to ride or drive here daily. “It has been like this for six years. Asphalting was done four years ago, but the surface was washed away within a month in the rains that followed, says Mujaheed, an employee at a medical shop.
Domlur
The nearby area, Domlur 2nd Stage Main Road does not provide a pretty picture either. Bang in front of the main bus depot is a road having a partition running through. With one half of the road slightly higher than the other, countless vehicles which happened to ride along that line have tripped down, informs Krishna, a vendor here. The drains on either side overflowed last week, he added.
Cox Town
At Cox Town, Madhava Mudaliar Road which extends from Ashoka theatre to Cox Town Circle, Buddha Vihar road and ITC factory road present a disgusting picture. “Potholes were filled up recently in these roads but the recent rains washed them away in two days,” said the president of the Cox Town Traders Association.

I do not agree. You need to travel on the Kempapura road (from Nagvara lake junction to Dasarahalli/Amruthahalli). This is a journey where you will cover 2.5 kilometers in 45 minutes. I think the the rover travelled faster on Mars. This has to be worst ever in the universe because there is no road and authorities keep digging the already dug up stretch...yeah lets call it stretch and not demean 'road'
