Garbage strewn around, haphazard parking, stinking drains, hawkers, chaotic traffic the list is endless. Residents of Jayanagar were unstoppable as they poured out their woes in the presence of Jayanagar MLA B.N. Vijaykumar and BBMP, police and horticulture officials at a meeting organised by the Federation of Jayanagar Residents’ Associations on Monday.
Walking on footpaths is almost impossible with hooligans and hawkers occupying them, said 65year-old D.N. Narayan. Watchmen should be posted at parks to keep a tab on “lovers” who occupy most of the benches, said secretary of the federation.
