BANGALORE: The Bangalore Traffic Police have proposed change in the traffic routes on important thoroughfares in the central areas in view of the ongoing Metro work from Wednesday, on a trial basis.

The proposed changes include unidirectional flow towards D’Souza Circle instead of the existing two-way traffic from Hosmat Circle to D’Souza circle. The existing one-way traffic from Garuda Mall Circle to D’Souza Circle will be changed to unidirectional flow towards Garuda Mall circle.

The existing one-way traffic flow from Hosmat Circle to Palm Grove Circle will be continued as one-way traffic flow towards Palm Grove Circle and the existing one-way traffic flow from Mayo Hall Circle to D’Souza circle will be diverted from Garuda Mall Circle towards Hosmat Circle.

A release said that the change in the traffic routes have been proposed in the light of heavy movement of vehicles from Richmond Road following the Metro Work and asphalting work from Palm Grove Road to D’Souza Circle.
