Bangalore: BBMP commissioner S Subramanya has promised that work on the glass house being built in memory of actor Dr Rajkumar will be completed in the next two weeks. The glass house, being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.1 crore, will have a capacity of 100 seats.
Inspecting the progress of various projects on Tuesday, Subramanya directed the contractor concerned to complete flyover work near Galianjaneya temple on Mysore Road at the earliest to ease traffic congestion.
The project costing Rs 20 crore will enable smooth flow of traffic on the congested Mysore Road, he pointed out. The flow of stormwater drain in Vrishbhavathi valley has been diverted to ensure speedy completion of work.
Subramanya also directed BBMP engineering staff to complete the sub-way at Town Hall, taken at a cost of Rs 2 crore, in the next three months to help pedestrians cross the road.
The sub-way will stretch 44.28 metres, seven metres in width and three metres in height.
