Anandnagar underpass open from today

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has completed the construction of a portion of the underpass being built at Anandnagar entrance on Bellary Road and it will be opened for traffic on Wednesday early hours.

Following this, the vehicles moving on Bellary Road will have to use the newly laid stretch of the road over a portion of the underpass and the new service road adjacent to it instead of the present old stretch of the road.
Delay

Though the civic body had intended to complete this portion of the underpass about a week earlier, unseasonable rains hampered the work.
Remaining work

Meanwhile, the BBMP will commence work on the other portion of the underpass from Wednesday as it has already kept the pre-cast elements ready for fixing on the other side.

The progress of the work on the project would depend on rain, pointed out the BBMP officials.
