More rains in City

Heavy rains lashed the city late on Wednesday night, inundating several low-lying areas. The downpour began at 11.20 pm and continued till early hours of Thursday.

The rains will continue even on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has forecasted light spells of rain and showers for Thursday evening. Weather on Thursday will be generally cloudy.
Airport woes
Flight landings and take-offs were also delayed due to the rain, according to the HAL airport authorities.
The heavy rains affected movement of call centre and BPO vehicles. Some of the employees reached home very late.
The BBMP control room received complaint of a tree fall at Yelahanka New Town. “A tree fell down near the railway station at 8.30 pm. No injuries has been reported. Complaints of water logging was also reported from various low-lying areas,” said control room officials.
