Here goes another instance of the terrible plight of roads in the City. Ramamurthy Nagar, almost adjacent to the BBMP Mahadevapura zonal office, leads by example when it comes to heavily cratered and muddy roads.

Deccan Herald reader Shashi Alabur has brought to focus the pathetic state of roads in the fast-growing area.

“Almost all the roads in the area are not tarred. During the rainy season, roads get slushy and make commuting a nightmarish experience for motorists,” he rued.

The condition of bylanes in the locality is no different. “Bylanes are in a miserable state too. They are haphazard and potholed. Water-logging occurs each time it rains. None of the officials seem to be bothered about it,” he complained.

To add to residents’ misery, there is no traffic police deployment to regulate traffic in the locality. “Traffic jams are regular phenomenon during peak hours. There is a mad rush of vehicles during early morning and evening hours” ,said Shashi.

He has made a CD of all the bad roads in Ramamurthy Nagar and hopes to hand it over to the BBMP Commissioner Dr S Subramanya shortly
