BANGALORE: The city experienced brief spells of rain on Sunday, registering 3.8 mm of rainfall till 8.30 pm. The reading at the airport station was 4.2 mm upto 8.30 pm. Over the weekend, however, the rain was heavier, with the city station recording 6.2 mm on Saturday and 5.8 mm on Friday.

No water clogging or tree fall complaints were received at the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) control room during the weekend, officials said.

No complaints were registered at the Fire Force control room as well, though there were a few incidents of trees falling.

Met department officials said that change in weather conditions was likely to continue for a couple of days due to withdrawal of the South West Monsoon showers and the onset of the North East Monsoon showers.
