Bangalore: Bal Bhavan, a nerve centre for children’s educational and entertainment activities, may soon be privatised. “We’re planning to invite tenders from private companies,’’ said Divya Narayana, administrative officer of Bal Bhavan.
Additional amenities will be provided at rates that are affordable and accessible for children from all economic strata.
Bal Bhavan, a 12.5-acre area near Cubbon Park, aims to nurture children’s creative talents. Established in 1985, it has a children’s library, aquarium and theatre. It organises summer camps, festivals and annual course in arts and craft. A toy train on the premises is a popular attraction.
