Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday stayed construction and development on an encroached area of Byrasandra Kelaginakere Tankbed near C V Raman Nagar area, by a private developer.
A vacation division Bench, headed by Justice Rammohan Reddy, passed the order on PIL filed B L Satish and other residents, who claimed that Bhagmane Developers were constructing a tech park and also a tennis court in the tankbed area.
The local tahsildar, on November 25 last year, had given a report stating that encroachment had taken place and a FIR had been registered in this regard, the petitioners claimed.
