Security at the HAL airport has been beefed up following the recent failed terror plot at the Glasgow airport.

Security at the HAL airport has been beefed up following the recent failed terror plot at the Glasgow airport.

Apart from deploying additional forces to man the airport premises, the police have also erected barricades along the departure and arrival terminal as a safety measure. Earlier vehicles were allowed to be parked along the terminal area, with an allotted 20 seconds alighting time for passengers to embark and disembark from their vehicles.

However, barricades have been erected along the terminal areas and vehicles can be parked a few metres further away from where the barricades have been erected.
