The first premonsoon showers hit the city on April 13, while the city recorded highest rainfall of 75.1 mm on April 22.
According to sources in the Met department, the weather conditions are normal and thunder showers may continue for at least a fortnight or so. The dipping of temperatures during early morning is natural due to humidity in the atmosphere, a senior official said.
