International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) celebrated its 10th anniversary on Tuesday. Today more than 130 companies and over 20,000 people comprise the community working out of the park, reports DHNS from Bangalore.
Ascendas, which currently manages and develops the park, also inaugurated Navigator, the sixth building at ITPB, spread across 400,000 sq ft. It can accommodate upto 4,000 employees and already enjoys 80 per cent occupancy.
Over Rs 970 crore has been invested in ITPB to date, creating total of 2.3 million sq ft of prime IT space over 20.3 acres, of the total 69 acres that Ascendas owns.
The company has further identified another 26 acres within the Park to develop about 3 million sq ft progressively, in the second phase at a cost another Rs 790 crore. A 200-room 5-star business hotel by the Taj Group of Hotels is expected to be operational next year.
