The Times of India

Bangalore: The dream airport that Bangalore has sought for nearly 15 years, has just one year to go for completion. With work proceeding well on schedule, the final structure of the huge terminal building is visible, while just the top cabin needs to be built to complete the 65 metre-high ATC tower. The access routes to the Bangalore International Airport at Devanahalli are also in progress. The BIAL board will build the trumpet interchange taking traffic from Bellary Road to the airport. Most of the land for the same has been handed over.
As for the rail link from the airport to Bangalore city, officials from Delhi Metro is conducting a survey and drawing up the detailed project report.
Meanwhile, the BMRDA has called for expressions of interest on the exclusive expressway to the airport.
