The BMP opened its 15th BangaloreOne unit, an integrated citizen service centre, at Sriramapuram, on Tuesday.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mayor Mumtaz Begum said there is a need to have a BangaloreOne centre in every ward to provide better service to the public.

She said she would write to the BMP commissioner in this regard.

Meanwhile, she said several BMP projects were in a limbo due to hurdles in getting them approved. She said the Rajkumar glass house, which would be set up in the BMP premises, had been facing administrative hurdle.

"The glass house and Dr Rajkumars bust, which was scheduled to be inaugurated on Oct 2, were still awaiting approval," she said.

Approvals are also awaited for distribution of taxis and autorickshaws to SCs/STs and weaker sections at concessional rates. BangaloreOne’s 15th centre
