Honeywell to expand R&D operations

Honeywell to expand R&D operations
The Times of India

Bangalore: Honeywell International has said it plans to double its R&D operations in Bangalore in the next few years. The company’s corporate senior vice president, Larry Kittelberger, met Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday and discussed the company’s expansion plans. “Bangalore is a major centre for us and we plan to expand in a big way here,” Kittelberger said.

TOI had reported last week that Honeywell is looking to set up a new campus in Bangalore with a built-up area of 1 million sq ft. The technology company already occupies about 3.5 lakh sq ft of space here. It has 4,000 R&D professionals in India. The chief minister urged Honeywell to consider Belgaum in their expansion plans. “I have just inaugurated an information technology park in Belgaum. We are providing world class infrastructure in Belgaum city,” he said. Kittelberger assured the CM his company would consider the suggestion.
