Rs. 450 crore worth road works to be completed by May 31

BANGALORE: Deputy Mayor M. Lakshminarayana on Monday said road works worth over Rs. 450 crore would be completed by May 31.

Speaking after distributing free sewing machines to beneficiaries of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's (BMP) tailoring course in Ganganagar, the Deputy Mayor said the Rs 1.5 crore allocation to each of the 100 wards would help in their comprehensive development.

The Deputy Mayor said the civic body had set aside Rs. 100 crore for cleaning activities in the city.

"But it is not enough if we make huge allocations. We need citizens' cooperation and active participation in our endeavour to keep the city clean," he said.
