The Opposition Congress in the Legislative Council on Friday defeated the Bangalore Development Authority (Second Amendment) Bill 2005 providing for the development of proposed Hitech City Layout in Bangalore and the IT corridor between Sarjapur Road and Hosur Road. When the Opposition pressed for division, it was defeated 20 votes to10.
