Nature healing garden coming up in City

Bangalore: Sudhakar Rao, Principal Secretary , Home Department, on Thursday inaugurated a nature healing garden and an open theatre at City Armed Reserve (CAR) (South) quarters in the City .

Ajai Kumar Singh, Commissioner of Police, told reporters such a garden is already present in CAR (North) and he would recommend another at CAR Headquarters also.

M M Nisar , retired Deputy Conservator, Forests, said the garden, spread over one and half acres of land contains rare plants. He said the design would make people experience a micro-climatic difference in it and rejuvenate their health.

A pyramid, to be constructed at the exact centre for diabetic patients to sit on would reduce their blood sugar level, he added.

Prakash, DCP , CAR, said Rs.13,000 has been spent mostly in collecting and shifting plants to the garden.

At the function, police personnel involved in voluntary services were felicitated by Sudhakar Rao.
