Pilot vehicles for more VVIPs

Get set to face more traffic snarls. The government issued an order last week directing the police to provide pilot vehicles to all visiting Union ministers to clear traffic when they are travelling on city roads.

Pilot service has already been provided officially to governor T.N. Chaturvedi, chief minister N. Dharam Singh, deputy CM M.P. Prakash, former PM H.D. Deve Gowda, KPCC president and water resources minister Mallikarjun Kharge. Also, visiting Presidents, PMs, governors, Supreme Court chief justice are entitled for pilot vehicles.

Unofficially however, several ministers have been provided with pilot service.
