It will be a bigger Freedom Jam

This year's Freedom Jam, the annual rock event, promises to be bigger than ever. Not just because of the backing from Levi's or the venue, the Princess Riding Academy on Palace Grounds, but for the number of rock groups to be featured.
Not less than 40 bands are expected and among them will be Sri Lankan Vibes from that island who will play their typical "baila" and urban hip-hop. There will be the violin duo from Chennai, Lalitha and Nadhini and Sitar vidwan Sanjay Deshpande from Belgaum with his "rock and raaga."
Topping them will be No Idea from that city, winners of the Great Indian Rock in Delhi. The spirit of youth, whether in blue jeans or not will be very much evident.
The list of local bands includes Quasar, Synapse, Inviktus, White Noiz, Lounge Piranha, Esperanto and Infinite Dreams. Admission is free to this event which is expected to go on till late into the night.
