Bangalore to go from pub city to subway central

In the next three to four months the BBMP has promised to transform Bangalore. They claim they're going to do this by building nearly 100 subways within the next three to four months. And the transformation has already begun; as a part of this project the BBMP has built six pre-cost subways, including the Narupatunga Road subway.
According to BBMP Engineer, Ramakanth Desai, "These subways will help pedestrians cross roads in busy areas of the city. So, the BBMP has planned to build nearly 100 pre-cost subways."
And no corner of Bangalore will be without these helpful structures. From Hebbal Police Station, and CBI Junction to Town Hall, and the Basaveshwara circle, they will be sprouting up everywhere.
Each subway is estimated to cost around Rs50 to 60 lakh. The Hebbal Police station subway has an estimated cost of Rs80 lakh, according to Desai.
The problem, however, lies with the fact that many pedestrians don't use existing subways like the ones at KR market, Majestic and Shivajinagar. And until citizens develop a sense of safety, there's little chance that the new subways will see pedestrians flock to them. At the same time the onus lies on the municipality to keep these subways clean and safe for use.

THE SUBWAYS R GAMBLING DENS. BEGGAR MENACE FILTH DIRT AND DOGS FINDS EVERY INCH SPACE OCCUPIED. WHO IS TO TAKE CARE. MOST OF THE TIME PUBLIC PROPERTY IS EVERYBODYS BUT NOBODYS. HOW MUCH POLICE CAN CONTROL THE MAD CROWD WHO IS READY TO JUMP THE TALLEST FENCE ,CROSS THE BUSIEST ROAD ,TO REACH THE DESTINATION. FIRST OF PEOPLE MUST BE EDUCATED AND PUNISHED SO THAT THEY UNDERSTAND AND USE THE SUBWAYS.
