Panic at BMTC bus terminal

Call it caution or paranoia about terror attacks. But tension prevailed in Kempegowda BMTC terminal for over an hour on Friday night.


The trouble started when a bunch of wires and a dozen electrical fuses were found on Friday late evening.
Around 7.50 pm, a passenger found the bunch of electrical wires and 14 fuses near the public toilet. Immediately, FSL, dog squad and bomb squad were pressed into action.

For more than an hour, situation in and around the bus stand was tense as rumours spread that bombs were planted in the BMTC bus stand.

Later, the Upparpet police declared that it was a mere bunch of wires and fuses.
