Day of traffic jams

Day of traffic jams
Bangalore, DHNS:
There were major traffic snarls on roads leading to the Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS) on Tuesday evening as thousands of people were heading to their native places to celebrate the Dasara festival.

The state-run corporation had operating 910 special buses from the KBS, anticipating the holiday rush.

Morning traffic
Traffic was thrown out of gear especially, between Mekhri circle and Kempapura cross (Esteem mall) in the morning. Though police attributed it to a KSRTC bus break down opposite to HMT building, Gangenahalli make shift market contributed to the problem. Banana plant branches, pumpkins and flowers being sold on the roadside also had its impact on the flow of traffic. Vehicles moving to airport had a tough time maneuvering the traffic pileup.

Cricket fans
In and around Chinnaswamy stadium, cricket buffs had gathered in large numbers to have a glimpse of their favourite Indian and Australian crikcketers during the net practice. The Cubbon park traffic police had a field day in collecting fines as the Tiger towed vehicle offenders.

The police had a tough time in managing the traffic in many places.
