Bangalore: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) has commenced groundwork on two more elevated stations —RV Road and Jayanagar on reach 4 — and invited tenders for construction. The cost of the work is Rs 61 crore and the scheduled period for completion 22 months. Work will include fire detection, landscaping, water supply and drainage.
BMRC has already commenced tendering on four elevated stations at Old Madras Road, Ulsoor, CMH Road and Byappanahalli, all on reach 1. New designs for these stations were also cleared recently.
Tenders have also been invited for demolition and dismantling of buildings identified on Metro’s reach 3 — from Swastik to Yeshwantpur station.
