Rally: Traffic congestion likely
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Road users in and around Vidhana Soudha and Raj Bhavan may have a tough time on Monday morning on account of the proposed rally by JD (S) and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha.
The JD (S) led by former CM H D Kumaraswamy will take out a procession from the party office on Race Course road to Raj Bhavan at 11 am.
The KRRS too has plans to hit the street. However, Kodihalli Chandrashekar said, “We will decide our plan of action depending on what the CM says.
Prohibitory order
While the JD-S is geared up to make its protest against the ‘unsuccessful 100 days of Yeddyurappa government’, the police too are fully prepared to put a wet blanket on JD-S plans.
In view of the protest march, the Commissioner of Police of Bangalore City Shankar Bidari has brought into force section 144 of the CrPC within a periphery of 1 km from Vidhana Soudha saying that there are intelligence inputs suggesting the presence of miscreants during the rally who can damage public and private properties.
The order prohibits gathering of five people who can challenge law and order. Taking out procession is also prohibited.
