Excessive on-street parking and shops and business establishments eating up the footpaths for parking are some of the major problems encountered in namma Bengaluru.

The major issue that has to be tackled is that the sanctioning authorities have been blatantly ignoring the traffic impact at the locations where commercial malls and buildings are permitted.

Also the haphazard parking of BMTC buses at bus stops and junctions is another cause of worry.

There is seen an excessive increase in parking on residential, arterial and subarterial roads which is a cause of major worry.

Lack of parking at choultries and business establishments pose a threat to the free flow of vehicles and hence chock the street.

The ongoing infrastructural activities on many parts of the city lead to traffic diversion and take away parking space.
