Dragonair launches flights

Dragonair, a full service carrier based in Hong Kong, commenced its flight operations in Bangalore on Wednesday, with non-stop daily flights between Bengaluru and Hong Kong. The maiden flight landed at the BIA at 1.18 hrs on Wednesday. The return flight to Hong Kong took off at 2.35 hrs.
Bangalore is the seventh new destination for Dragonair, a sister airline of Cathay Pacific airways. The services are operated on Airbus A330-300 flights. The return fare to Hong Kong is Rs 22,000, while a one-way ticket costs you Rs 18,000.
Algernon Yau, General Manager (Ground Services and International Affairs), Dragonair said, “With this launch, we are proud to be the only airline to operate a non-stop between the most progressive cities in Asia-Hong Kong and Bengaluru”.
The Cathay Pacific group now operates 35 flights from India, including the recently added 20 new weekly flights from Chennai, taking the total flights a week from India to Hong Kong to 28.
