Underpass to be inaugurated by month-end
DH News Service, Bangalore:
The underpass being constructed with pre-cast box structures is expected to be inaugurated by the end of this month. On Tuesday, the BBMP completed the placement work of all the pre-cast elements. Workers were busy levelling the ground for asphaltation on Wednesday.

By the evening, preparation of the ground for ramp on one side of the underpass was done. Soil nailing, to avoid landslip is continuing.

According to sources in the Palike the work would be completed in three-four days. A function to inaugurate the underpass would be organised on January 31.

Preparation
The Palike and BWSSB have started shifting utilities at BDA junction, where the Palike is taking up construction of the second underpass.

The Palike had a tough time continuing with the work of the underpass on T Chowdaiah Road as old pipelines of BWSSB were cut accidentally.

This time the Palike is cautious and has taken all measures so that the work is not disturbed by forgotten old pipelines.
