B'lore-M'lore train from Dec 8?
Bangalore, DHNS:

The passenger train services between Bangalore and Mangalore would resume from December 8, according to sources in the Railways.

“We have got reliable information that the passenger train will start from Mangalore on December 8. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will be re-launching the train from Mangalore. He will come here the day after the winter session ends,” said a highly placed source in the South Western Railway.

However, top rank railway officers denied any confirmation regarding the date from the Railway Board. General Manager of the South Western Railway Praveen Kumar said the train would start soon but there was no official confirmation of the date from the Railway Board.

Puttur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI) has asked PM Manmohan Singh to dismiss Minister of State for Railways R Velu from the ministry for ‘fooling the people by making irresponsible statement.’ PCCI Secretary in a letter to the PM alleged that Velu, during his visit to Bangalore had announced that the train will commence before the first fortnight of November
