Complete pending work in park’s food court: Rau

Bangalore: BBMP administrator Dilip Rau directed officials to expedite the process of issuing contracts and granting lease for setting up shops at the food court in J P Park at Mathikere.
Rau inspected shops at the food court on Wednesday and directed officials of the market department to complete pending works like providing adequate lighting, dustbins and completion of the open-air theatre.
He suggested planting eucalyptus trees or bamboo plants across the park boundary. To prevent sewerage water from entering the park, Rau suggested BBMP special commissioner (projects) to coordinate with the BWSSB to provide a separate underground drainage system. He suggested that he discuss with Railway officials a plan to lay an UGD as it passes through a portion of the railway property.
