BANGALORE: Ring Roads and many flyovers in the City which have been built by Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) are littered and unkempt.

Posters, advertisements and other publicity materials are pasted on the flyovers, underpass roads and Ring Roads, with least regard for architectural dignity of the structures.

They not only disfigure the structures but also distract the attention of drivers, leading to fatal accidents.

Several organisations joined hands in defacing the structures by putting up advertisement banners and paintings on the concrete structures, said an official release here.

It’s illegal to put up hoardings, posters, banners, paintings and other publicity materials.

The BDA has issued notices to theatre owners and distributors and complaints have been lodged against them. The BDA has also cautioned people that serious action would be initiated against the offenders as per rules if this illegitimate act continues on BDA roads and flyovers.
